to Hotel Vinhuset in Næstved

Hotel Vinhuset is a functional hotel that exudes atmosphere in its historical settings. That is because Hotel Vinhuset has been the town's hotel since 1778. Parts of the fantastic building date all the way back to the 16th century.

The building forms the setting for a fantastic story about the wine merchant, Hanstenn, who in 1752 asked the king if his oldest daughter Maren may take over the privilege of running the inn when he died. Apparently she was granted permission because in 1754 Maren continued her father's wine trading and the house came to be known as Vinhuset.

Hotel Vinhuset is just as suitable for overnight accommodation as it is a good place for meetings and private functions with capacity for up to 120 people.

The hotel has large, spacious rooms which in the summer are furnished as family rooms. In the cellar under the curved arches and with the most wonderful atmosphere, is the hotel's unique restaurant "Vinhuskælderen".

In 2006, all 56 rooms went through extensive renovation with respect for the old house. The rooms are tastefully furnished in the 1930's art deco style. Equipped with a 20" flat screen, cable TV and wireless internet plus en suite bathroom and toilet. The style and facilities are all of the same standard in all rooms but the décor is individual.
