Hotel Vinhuset is a functional hotel that oozes atmosphere in its historic setting. Hotel Vinhuset has been the city's hotel since 1778. Parts of the fantastic building date back to the 1500th century.
The building forms the setting for a fantastic story about the wine merchant Hanstenn, who in 1752 inquired with the king, about his eldest daughter Maren, having to take over the privilege of running an inn when he passed away. She obviously had to, because in 1754 Maren continued her father's wine trade, and the farm is hereafter named Vinhuset.
Hotel Vinhuset is just as suitable as a good place to stay, as well as a good meeting place for meetings and private parties for up to 120 people.
The hotel has large spacious rooms, which in summer are furnished for family rooms. In the basement under the arched vaults with the lovely atmosphere is the hotel's unique restaurant "Vinhuskælderen".
All 56 rooms underwent an extensive renovation with respect for the old house in 2006. The rooms are tastefully decorated in the 1930s "art deco" style. Equipped with 20 "flat screen, cable TV and wireless internet, and with private shower and toilet. Style and facilities are the same standard in all rooms but the decor is individual in each room.
